The Developing Force program has been put together with the aim of helping aspiring young rugby players between the ages of 13-16 to develop their skills in the preseason which will aid them on their journey towards representative honours this year and beyond.
The inaugural Developing Force program has seen players put through 9 weeks of core skill development as well as conditioning work. The 3 key skill areas of focus were:
- Catch & Pass
- Track to tackle
- Win contact
The Conditioning aspect was to improve players aerobic and anaerobic capacity and saw all players improve immensely with one player at the end of the program running a 20.4 in the YO-YO.
