Future Force Foundation

What is the Future Force?
The Future Force is a leading rugby academy that identifies top local, national and internationally-based young players – between the ages of 17 and 21 – and weaves them into the fabric of rugby in Western Australia.

The Future Force places players into a full-time programme that focuses on developing the scholarship holder’s rugby skills (in conjunction with our local clubs), physical development, as well as progressing an educational and/or vocational plan for life off the field.

By partnering with our local rugby clubs we are not only strengthen the standard of rugby in Western Australia, but ensure the players are fully integrated into the local rugby community and community-at-large, develop an affinity with a local club, play alongside aspiring Perth players and, importantly, advance the development of the feeder system into the Western Force.

How can you help?
Now you can make a difference by contributing and helping fund a scholarship in the Future Force to further enable us to develop the stars of tomorrow.

All donations are made through the Australian Sports Foundation and are tax deductible.

From Future Force to Western Force
In 2017 the Future Force Foundation has grown to its largest squad in the program’s short history with 13 members ranging from talented local products as well as players identified from interstate and overseas.

The Future Force Foundation began with three local products as the inaugural members all of whom have now represented the Western Force at Asteron Life Super Rugby level. Future Force Foundation members Richard Hardwick and Harry Scoble of UWA both made their debuts for the Western Force in the 2016 season after Wests Scarborough product Kane Koteka made his debut in 2015.

All 13 of the players have been aligned with local clubs and are plying their trade in the Pindan Premier Grade with any eye on representing the Perth Spirit in the Builldcorp National Rugby Championship as they continue their pathway towards playing Super Rugby for the Western Force.
